It is was great honour and pleasure for the Organization Team of CAI Němčice u Kolína, CZE, to invite David E. Saunders from America, as FEI Chief Steward for the international Drivingsport event.

David E. Saunders is part of the history of Drivingsport. As Coachman of HRH Prince Philipp, he was part of the formation and development of FEI Drivingsport. He drove the horse carriage with the mother of the bride and HRH Prince Philipp at the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana.

Himself active as a Drivingsport athlete at World Championships and FEI Steward General in the USA, David is also established in the modern Drivingsport. 

The organization team, the competitors as well as the FEI Official team, are thankful to David Saunders for his highly professional work and his great commitment at the successfull competition of the Vigvam Equestrian Centre in May 2015.

Not only the event actives were impressed - the Czech media quickly discovered David E. Saunders as media darling, and in addition to his dedicated job as FEI Chief Steward, he was very busy to give interviews to TV, Radio and local newspapers.

The media coverage of this international Drivingsport event was enormous, and surpassed all expectations of the PR responsible of the CAI Němčice u Kolína.

2 times there were reports in the evening main newscast of the national TV, further in several TV- and radio broadcasters, as well as big newspaper articles.

Already on Saturday, during marathon, the first fans asked for “selfies” with David.

In addition to sport, great horses, Drivingsport athletes and the very successfully OC team - David E. Saunders was in the focus of media interests.

Drivingsport at the media… a difficult issue… but sometimes it succeed – with the help of a great man or a small rabbit   –

to present our beloved sport to a huge crowd at the media.
